about
Hijac throws the bursting sound effects and cuteness of hyperpop onto a bumping dance tune that anyone can groove to. He excitedly explains, "...my goal was to make an ethereal yet moving club track that would transcend the dance floors this summer :)" It levels-up the future bass sounds from the 2014-2016 SoundCloud era into a more accessible, well engineered mix that’s crisp and bright. The moth in the artwork (also made by Hijac) emerged from its cocoon just to wiggle those antenna to the beat!
each track uses the fact that its digital hardcore in its own unique way each time, rarely sounding similar to the other despite generally being noisy and in your face. i find this to be especially helped by Machine Girl's usage of unique samples or their own voices, which i can barely understand but honestly it really adds to the charm and aesthetic of this release. i know this album is 7 years old at the time of writing this, but it still holds up incredibly well.
